Last article, I wrote my thank yous for the awesome moments we have had over the last year since this blog’s launch. I have been blessed to be in the company of great men of action who do not want to sit idly by during the current crises of our Church, our nation, and our World. But as we move closer to the end of a year and soon into a new one, it is time to think on what’s next.
I am happy to have used telegram, the Gadfly Report, and any physical venue anyone has granted me over the past year and a half to respond to the horrible circumstances of our time; the “pandemic”, the machinated race wars, the scandals in our Church, the great election steal, and the current Great Reset installation we are all living. We all should continue using every bit of the evils of today to motivate us to do everything necessary to get our respective families to heaven and to positively impact our circles of influence, wherever God has put us.
Still, at this moment so many are feeling uncertainty, despair, and immense anxiety. Deadlines to get a poison jab ever loom. Hyper inflation shows no signs of subsidence. And synods on synodality creep nearer. There is a temptation to despair as well as a tendency toward paralysis.
What should we do next? Simple. Each and every one of us need to find our calling and do it like we are going to war at every moment. What do we hope to win in this war? Nothing more than glory for God. It will require great sacrifice, great perseverance, and great faith. But that’s part of being on the side opposed to the Great Reset: the Great Resistance.
Particular Callings
If you have a lot of time to make up with your kids, whom you let get sucked into video games and their iPad for years, get involved in Troops of St. George. If you feel called to improve your prepper game, buy some chicks and a coop. Then clear out some space in your basement for your three month supply. From there, figure out your long term, multi-scenario plans. If you have never prayed outside of an abortion mill, then start joining some men who have beaten you to it. There is an event almost every Saturday manned by such men who have answered the call . If you are a retired man with some charisma and you aren’t concerned about being “canceled”, apply to run for school board and serve your community like a noble statesman. Grace those you will influence by your Catholic witness.
If you are scared of losing your job because of a Covid jab mandate, then you are in good company. We are all scared. But God put you in this time and place for a reason. Join those who will move mountains to refuse this evil mandate, all while trusting in God and building a network of people who can support each other through this. You have a chance to be loved and to love your fellow man who will struggle right there with you in the beautiful parallel society we can build together. If you are ready to stop giving your talents to corporate America and instead give them to the Great Resistance, we will be happy to have you and to help you however we can.
I do not have all of the answers. I don’t know anyone who does. And I don’t know anyone who can save you from a jab mandate, modern American Communism, or the Great Reset. But God has saved you eternally and I can connect you with good people who can help you in your struggle to “work out your salvation in fear and trembling” at this exact moment God put you here to be great in.
Prepare Well: Some Upcoming Events
By now you probably know that there is a real big event coming up this February. That’s right, Satan Con. Thankfully, many are stepping up to counter the event with prayers and witness, right in the hornets nest for the three days in which the event will be held. Should you take part? If you are in the state of grace, have some paid time off to take, and can come spiritually prepared, then you should seriously consider it. What kind of preparation is needed and what kind of opportunities lie ahead in the interim?
Good news! Advent is here. Every November, many Catholics commit to make the upcoming advent “different”. Different from the typical “Christmas season” celebration model, where we all eat cookies and enjoy Christmas songs and shopping from Black Friday to Christmas day. But then the world celebrates Christmas in such fashion, and it is hard to resist going along with it.
With February in mind, perhaps this is the year to really use Advent for what it is meant for: a time to prepare! Traditionally, Advent has been a time to practice mortification. Additionally, this is a good season to improve one’s prayer life while participating in a liturgy that builds up to Christ’s coming. I am in a group with some other men this season who are keeping each other accountable to say the morning and evening Liturgy of the Hours prayers, read all the traditional daily readings, to say a family rosary each day with our respective families, and to practice some form of individually chosen self-mortification. Not that we will necessarily emerge with the full armor of God fully installed by December 25th, but I believe we will be in a better spot for whatever next year brings, including the convention in February.
Coming up on December 18th, there will be a Jericho March at noon at the Capitol. Last year, hundreds upon hundreds of laps were registered around the capitol building starting with the weekend after the election steal going all the way to a Mega-march attended by over a thousand marchers in mid-December. This is an event to keep annual. Let’s pass on the memory, to our children, of how we responded to last year. Through all the scamdemic, the rioting, the rigged election, and the whispers of forced vaccination, I fondly remember marching weekend after weekend with others who decided to “be not afraid”. We prayed rosary after rosary, sang hymns such as Faith of our Fathers, America the Beautiful, and O Come, O come, Emmanuel as we braced for the next year. Considering 2022 may shape up to be even more exciting than 2021, let’s get out the walking shoes, the flags, the holy images, the hymnals, and let’s do it again.
Finally, on December 24th, there will be a rosary at the Glendale mill that will be heavily attended with members from all around the diocese. Considering that last year’s March for Life at the Capitol was DOMINATED by Calvinists, let’s come together and grow as a united front within the pro-life Catholic community. This a good stepping stone to the March for life this January 15th, where we will not be out represented two years in a row!
Again, we all have our own unique callings to serve God and others at this crucial moment. As we move into Advent, and then into the new year, let’s take advantage of some of these opportunities to put on some armor and stand shoulder to shoulder with the same warriors whom we have had the wonderful opportunity to go to battle with and will continue to do so for years to come.
